Oooh, underground trifle bars, another of the institutions tragically discarded post-prohibition.

There's been a resurgence - suggest you try Camden or the Holloway Road.

Just to change the subject and revert to a previous line of thought; Was it an angry Agnes Moorhen?

Didn't she play Hen-dora in "Bewitched"?

There's no way to follow that except with nonsense talk of underworld trifle bars. Do they still use authentic moonshine, with the toxic hundreds and thousands?

Moonshine banned following E.U directive.

Hundreds and Thousands now called "lots and lots" to avoid being numerist.

Am nervous of your interrogative manner as is suggestive of Sponge Police. <shudders>

Caves in immediately and hands over list of all involved (and some that weren't).

Thank you thank you. I shall now burn this list unread and hand over Geg to the lynch mob.

Ah, these trifles have such sweet custard.

Accidentally leaks Koko's Underground Trifle Bar Membership List to Press, watches lynch mob run for hills.
Enjoys the remains of ES's trifle - with chocolate.

bunyip - if you've succeeded in cornering the market, can you keep it there, because I was going to go to the market in the morning, but it keeps moving. Oh, and don't tell Bibwit its a horse market or you'll have a riot on your hands.

<Reflects that, with the press on your side, you can conquer the world.>

Is the horse market anywhere near the bull or bear markets? Livestock accumulators need to know!

To market, to market to buy a fat pig,
Home again, home again, jig a jig jig.*

* nursery rhyme with no apparent meaning

A' jig jig' is a colloquialism for a bit of hanky panky.

Does the 'fat pig' have any part to play in this?

Are you watching the 'Secrets of the Nursery Rhymes' now being shown on SBS at present?

I saw part of the Pied Piper episode which pointed out that rats have never been known to be affected by music (so much for the pop group with that in their name) and are good swimmers. So the logic of the tale fell through as it stood. However there may have been some part that I didn't see where a flood disaster may have been about to occur and the rats left the town but the people didn't and the kiddies were all swept away to their deaths. Who knows? And, who really cares?
