Did they sing "The cox on the Tyne's all mine all mine, the cox on the Tyne's all mine?" And if not, why not?

Because I would have told them off for not concentrating.

THe college female crews would burst into 'It's Raining Men' from time to time, and that was okay, but the uni squad were supposed to be professional.

Well....

Resists temptation to make joke about female crews having handicap. You know, the one not holding an oar...
I wouldn't be terribly amused if someone insulted me about my ability in one of my favourite pastimes, so I shall merely mention joke, without getting specific.

Right you lot. I leave work at 5:15 to pick eddie up, and the fforum is nice and quiet. I come into work to do a system upgrade, think "I'll just spend 10 minutes catching up" and there's 57 unread fforum emails waiting for me.

and that's not to mention the threads you started whilst I wasn't here!

How's a boy supposed to cope? Sarah, I think I need some ffrog pills.

I don't mind people taking the piss out of my coxing - I've got enough pots to tell me I wasn't that bad! It suited me as I'm a gobby little so-and-so...

I once had to write an essay based on the quotation "The proper study of man is pots."

Ecology - you know, integrated study of the entire living world? Green things? Things that bite you? Sex in great big buckets? Oh, never mind...

Sorry? How kinky did you think I was? I could hide behind a spiral staircase...

That's not really your name, surely ? Could anyone's parents be so cruel, or careless ?

They hadn't realised until I pointed it out a couple of years ago. They'd been really careful with my middle names, too. Fortunately I adopted it as a moniker before PSD, which cut out any teasing. I mean, what was the point if I signed as that anyway?

Cunning ruse, make the joke before anyone else does. and I've just realized why 'cox' would be appropriate for you. Is it a t-shirt that dates from rowing days ?

Yup. I was given no option in the choice of name. I was wearing it today, strangely. I've got another one from a crew I coached with 'Salve Driver' on the back, and one with Steve Redgrave's signature on after we won the Supersprints in Durham.

"The proper study of man is pots." - I've got lots of pots in bedroom (no, really) if you need to brush up on the studying...; P

(sorry, sorry, must stop doing that in public)

"Salve Driver"? Now there's a bizarre mental picture if ever there was one!
