Ah! PETT lovers!

Chips, hash browns, 'tater cakes. mash, colcannon. All ethical, I can assure you.

I even leave the door open so that any taters wishing to leave can do so. They always stay so they must enjoy it!

Beer that is brewed from people's homes. You should be scared Martin, they might leave you homeless while your house ferments.

House beer

Ingredients:
3 houses,
5 swimming pools
One packet of beer yeast.

Method:
Bring to a gentle simmer the houses and swimming pools. Cool to room temperature (heheh) and add the yeast.
In three months time bottle. Discard if there are any thunderstorms withing the first two weeks of fermentation.

Vhy do you discard if thunderstorms about in first two weeks?

Vot about day 15?

Also if you have boiled up houses mit svimming pools how do you have a room from whicvh to take temperature?

These and other idiotic questions to be answered in real ale.

It's deja vu except I didn't see it happening.

[Don't you think Deja Vu should be a character in Burroughs Mars stories?]

To get some better cards. And that much closer to a flush.

Hmmm.
Well in non-house derived beers, if there is a thunderstorm within the first 5-7 days of new beer fermenting, the beer will be VERY likely to go sour. This is true and has happened many times for us.

So who's making the chili to go with all this home brew?

Who? Me? OK, but I'll warn you, it will be meatless- & beanless, too...

And who's bringing the salad to the barbeque when we gather to try this mystical fomentation?

Don't everyone bring potato (there's that word again) salad.

Meatless is fine by me!!!

Speaking of brews, I just put a combination beer on yesterday, fits beautifully and is a draught/pale ale.

I'll bring my sweetspice savoury pumpkin filo pastries, anyone ordered a nice day yet?

Re functions and HM Customs:

Old Public service trick: Invite HM Customs to p*ssup, sorry barbeque, on grounds that new experiences may be forthcoming and as it is a research project, not a commercial venture, their attendance and comments would indeed be useful in the evaluation in the event of this research leading to a commercial enterprise.

This gets function free of customs duties, VAT, allows claiming on income tax, and with some luck, HM Custome will bring along a few items which they have liberated in the name of duty and wish to try under controlled conditions, mostly free of police raids. May have to invite police as well to ensure public safety if HM Customs items are too powerful. Also police usually have a few goodies to share with friends under the right circumstances.

Ponders on whether to invite local MP in case some unfavourable aftereffects.
