Sealing fat: not quite as good as sealing wax at holding envelopes closed or bearing the imprint of a signet ring.

How do you get the impression of a young swan's resonant noise to make a mark in your sealing wax?

I have found that if you impress the sealing was with a signet you get (1) feathers in the wax and (2) bird sh*t on the document or envelope.
