Mine is a 4/5 seater but I used to have a two seater. As far as I know all (except early steam cars?) have used a source of electricity to either cause a spark or warm a glow plug.
Although having 4 road wheels, it has been known to travel a distance with less than 2 in contact with the road.
Mine is a diesal, so not a good idea to fill it with gasoline.
