Strawberry and rhubarb jam is one of the classical jam recipes my mother used to make. It gives an acidic component to the sweet-only berries. And in the garden, rhubarb is practical, because when you plant it on top of your compost heap, its huge leafs will cover everything.
Eaten pure - as a compote with at least the same amount of sugar, otherwise it is completely inedible - it is oviously
