DAFW, I think that you may have misread Claus' instructions.

type the square bracket then the word "code" then the closing square bracket. Don't include any spaces inside your square brackets.
Then your stuff as you want it to look.
Finish it with a square bracket, a forward slash, the word "code", and finally a closing square bracket. Don't include any spaces inside the square brackets.

If you have come across BB code your explanation is 100%. I just guessed that DAFW perhaps hadn't.

Only some of the BB codes appear to work and I didn't realise that "code" was one that did. That will make the birthday list look much prettier!

As a kid I used to write letters in code to irritate people... they always just ended up asking me what it was... usually I would show them the code then change it the next day. My friends eventually took to the challenge and came up with their own code... took me 10 minutes to break it after they had spent a weekend on it! One up to me!
